Our research work aimed to determine the viability of the investment for the acquisition of an electric power generating turbine which will fuel the excess steam generated by the cauldrons of the production area. The study began with the elaboration of the current reality tree in order to determine the restrictions in the area of cauldrons that affect the improvement of the profitability of the company. The result was the excess steam wasted by the cauldrons which in monetary terms represented an amount of S / 970,920 per month. The economic and financial profitability in the 2019 period was 9.54% and 14.16% respectively. With the acquisition of the turbine it was demonstrated that the investment is economically and financially viable which was demonstrated with values of the VANE and VANF of S / 3 ́440,240 and S / 3 ́238,438 respectively and with values of the internal economic and financial rate of return of 58.04% and 100.50% respectively. These rates of profitability were higher than the financial cost of the project, which determined incremental economic and financial profitability values on average of 2.5% during the useful life of the project. Likewise, it was determined through a financial analysis that the company currently has equity solvency and degree of financial leverage that allows it to borrow in the investment of the project.
