The objective of this work is to know the prevalence of Toxocara canis in dogs under 6 weeks of age and their relationship with their mothers in the district of Victor Larco-Trujillo; for which, 241 puppies were collected, from which fecal samples were obtained; Once the samples were taken, they were processed by the direct and flotation methods by saturated saline, considering positive samples to those with the presence of at least 1 egg per microscopic field. It was found that 58.92% of the samples were positive for Toxocara canis; of which 62.67% of positive samples were from puppies that were in the age range of up to 4 weeks, without finding differences chewed by sex; Regarding race, it was found that 47.89% of the positive samples were from mixed animals; Regarding the relationship between the mother and the presence of Toxocara canis in the litter, it was obtained that 53.33% of the mothers had a positive relationship to Toxocariasis in their litter, despite the fact that the mother had been dewormed.
