This research is based on the innovation and development of a hot mix asphalt (HMA), where recycled polyurethane (PUR) is used, incorporating it into a conventional asphalt mix. The main objective was to evaluate its influence on the use of PUR in the asphalt mixture and significant performances were obtained for its subsequent use in urban pavements in the city of Trujillo. The mechanical properties of the asphalt mixture were previously identified, analyzed and indicated. hot (HMA), using the “Marshall” test. The type of study according to the orientation or purpose is applied, quasi-experimental-quantitative research. The stone materials were characterized by granulometry tests, HMA -2, 47% ½” crushed stone, 33% crushed sand, 18% screened sand, 2% Portland cement I and 0.5% adhesion improving additive. The procedures for preparing the samples for subsequent evaluation were carried out in the Laboratory, certifying them in technical sheets and compliance with the requirements of the Highway Manual RD No. 22-2013-MTC/14, the Technical Standards CE.0.10, Urban Pavements referenced in the RNE-2019 on page. 681. PEN 60/70 asphalt was used in the conventional mixture with percentages of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6%, 6.5% and 7% and adding PUR, in percentages: 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5 % and 3.0% with respect to the total asphalt. This bitumen is chosen according to the standard, for a temperate climate, temperature of 7°C- 24°C. Finally, the conventional asphalt mixture obtained an optimal bitumen of 5.9% and the modified asphalt mixture obtained better results with a bitumen of 5.5% and 2.5% of PUR recycled polyurethane
