The population and the vehicle fleet increase year after year, so existing studies are not accurate to solve the new road problems and meet the needs of people and their safety. This thesis called: ““STUDY OF ROAD AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY OF THE INTERSECTIONS OF AVENIDA PROGRESO- DISTRICT OF CASTILLA - PIURA““ was developed with the aim of determining the road study of these intersections so that it allows to benefit the inhabitants, drivers and pedestrians of the district of Castilla, department of Piura. One of the most serious and urgent problems to be solved is the vehicular chaos caused by the lack of a culture of road safety and the respective signaling and traffic lights. Chaos generating consequences such as the increase in the mortality rate due to traffic accidents, environmental pollution, noise pollution and economic loss due to the time used in the transfer of the population to their homes, work center, schools, etc. This research was carried out according to the ““Road Safety Manual 2017““, ““Manual of traffic control devices 2016““ and the Methodology of the ““Highway Capacity Manual 2010““ (HCM), in order to propose the accessible and inclusive redesign of the intersection under study and mitigate existing problems
