To determine the association of dermatoses with HIV and CD4 lymphocytes, in Dermatology of the Hospital Belen the Trujillo. MATERIAL AND METHOD: In a population of 203 patients with HIV with skin manifestations, and CD4 count, treated at the Dermatology Service of the Hospital Belén the Trujillo during the period January to December 2019. This study corresponds to an analytical, observational of cases and controls , retrospective. Student's t-test was used. RESULTS: The average age of the HIV patients with dermatosis was 34.77 ± 10.58 and the average age of the patients without dermatosis was 36.25 ± 14.22, (p= 0.627). The most frequent sex was male with 66 patients, and female with 38 patients. Of which, according to male sex, only 48.5% presented dermatosis and 51.5% did not present dermatosis. According to female sex, only 52.6% presented dermatosis and 47.4% did not present dermatosis, (p= 0.648) The association of dermatosis and CD4 values is presented: we have a normal CD4 count of only 7.7% presented dermatosis and a CD4 count <200 with 92.3%. (p < 0.0011). (OR=0.003, CI=95%, 0.001 – 0.019) CONCLUSIONS: It was possible to determine the relationship of patients with normal CD4 count as a protective factor in patients with HIV
