In the present investigation, it was developed in the district of Sarín and part of the town center of Shiracorral since the LI-916 highway connects these areas, where its inhabitants have the sale of wood as their main economic activities, the agriculture corresponding to the planting of corn, wheat, barley and fish farming corresponding to trout farming. The focus of the study is based on a carriageway trail with a considered road width of 6.60 m that currently trafficability is highly affected especially in rainy seasons which occur between the months of November to March. Thus, to start the present investigation, the topographic survey classified the type of orography with rugged transverse slopes and that are in the range between 11% and 50%. Previous studies such as soil mechanics, it was determined by tests according to regulations that the support ratio (CBR) of the section under study is 7.50% composed of mixtures of gravel with layers of fine silt and clayey. Regarding the traffic study, the road is analyzed as comprising a second-class highway, having made the inspection of the vehicle count method, obtaining an IMDA of 638. Through the structural design for the type of flexible pavement, thicknesses d1= 8 cm, d2= 25 cm, d3= 23 cm are obtained and for the type of rigid pavement d1=20, d2=15. Therefore, the geometric study was carried out with the guidance of the DG-2018 cart manual, depending on its demand, there is a second-class road and with the design speed of 50 km/h, at the same time, the vehicle of design, traffic characteristics, design speed and service level capacity that circulate through the study section. At the same time, there is a budget between the flexible and rigid pavement types, with flexible pavement being the lowest cost, according to AASHTO-93.
