morbimortalidad.
Autoimmune encephalitis (AE), which is a group of pathologies, are caused by immunological factors, tend to have a variable presentation picture. In pediatric age, AE anti N- methyl D- aspartate receptor (NMDAR) is by far the most frequent. Laboratory and imaging tests are often nonspecific. Treatment consists of immunosuppressants, human immunoglobulin, plasmapheresis, or a combination of these. Presentation of de case: A case of Autoimmune Encephalitis without association to neoplasia in a pediatric patient, a rare pathology, treated in the Pediatric service of the High Complexity Hospital “Virgen de la Puerta”.We will describe the case of a patient who presented a clinical picture of headache, fever associated with seizure during his admission. Conclusions: AE is an infrequent pathology, with a diversity of presentation in the clinical picture. This leads to a delay in its diagnosis and initiation of treatment, which worsens the prognosis and causes greater morbidity and mortality.
