The present of this research work is located in the main road of Paijan – Macabi Alto, the road study is 7.4 km long, this is an important road that currently presents deterioration on its pavement, causing discomfort to users who travel on it, this is also a danger because it can cause accidents. In the Paijan – Macabi Alto highway we found different faults that intervene in the condition of this road, therefore the general objective is to perform the “Evaluation of the Surface Pavement Condition Index using the PCI methodology in the Departament of La Libertad 2022”. The field study was carried out, following the PCI methodology, it was possible to observe the types of faults in the section under evaluation, the data will help us to classify according to their type and identify the level of severity of the faults. As inspection instruments when carrying out the study we used a winch, cones, level, field notebooks and a camera to register the photos. Finally, we carried out our sampling procedure, in which the faults found in the study area the highest was the detachment of aggregates with 19.05%, which the condition of the pavement in which it is found is BAD.
