To determine if cyberbullying is a factor associated with depression in medical interns at the Antenor Orrego Private University. Material and methods: A cross-sectional analytical study was carried out in which 115 internal medical students were included, according to selection criteria, which were divided into 2 groups: patients with or without depressive disorder; applying the odds ratio, and the statistical chi square test. Results: The frequency of female sex and a history of depression was significantly higher in the group of medical interns with depression compared to the group without this disease (p <0.05). The frequency of cyberbullying in medical interns with depression was 44%. The frequency of cyberbullying in medical interns without depression was 7%. Cyber bullying is a factor associated with depression in inmates of the UPAO School of Medicine with an odds ratio of 10.54, which was significant (p <0.05).
