The purpose of this study was to determine the association between socio-demographic factors and the loss of teeth in adults in the district of Cajamarca 2021. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Ambispective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational-analytical study, for the study data from adult patients and panoramic radiographs belonging to the Center for Dental and Maxillary Diagnosis ““CEDEMAX““ were used, for the evaluation of sociodemographic factors. The patient's information record was reviewed, which were recorded in a file prepared for data collection and for the analysis of tooth loss, it was carried out using the Kennedy classification after calibration with an expert. For the data analysis, frequency tables of one and double entry were formed with their absolute and relative values, in addition to graphs and percentage frequencies, for the evaluation of the relationship according to gender, age, health subsystem, and occupation. the non-parametric test, using the Chi square distribution with a significance level of 5%, for information processing, the statistical package SPSS version 27 in Spanish was used. RESULTS: After the multivariate analysis, an association between tooth loss and the factors age and occupation was found; while in the univariate analysis it was Kennedy class III with the age and occupation factors in both jaws, and Kennedy class III with the gender factor only in the lower jaw. CONCLUSION: The association of dental lose occurred in the factors age, occupation and gender with a high rate of significance, except only for the health subsystem, which had no association.
