This research tries to identify knowledge, attitudes and practices in the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego’s administrative staff in order to promote solid waste segregation. This is a quantitative qualitatively investigation and it uses two types of research tools: the survey and individual in-depth interviews, which were validated by means of Cronbach's Alpha and judgment of experts, respectively. As a result, it was identified that the UPAO’s administrative staff has an average knowledge of solid waste segregation. All the information that they know is because their own research and not for a university’s training. In terms of attitudes, it was identified they has a high level of respect to the segregation of solid waste, but the current environmental projects don´t have an impact on the administrative staff of the UPAO, causing a lack of interest in them. In terms of practice, it was determinate that there is a high level of certain practices such as segregation of solid waste within their workplace, which could be reinforced with more incentives and motivations to the partner. Finally, a communication plan was proposed to achieve enhance knowledge, to promote the importance and functions of the area in charge of environmental issues and to improve the awareness and participation of employees, resulting in a more consolidated environmental organizational culture.
