To determine if muscle complications and pressure ulcers present associated factors for their appearance in patients hospitalized for COVID 19 Piura. Materials and methods: Retrospective, cross-sectional analytical study with secondary data collection through the use of medical records in hospitalized patients within the COVID-19 unit of Hospital III-1 José Cayetano Heredia de Piura during the period from March 2020 to October 2021. perform analytical tests for significance with p <0.05 respectively using the statistical program STATA V 19.0. Results: With the present study, it was proven that muscle complications and appearance of pressure ulcers have factors associated with their appearance, such as comorbidities and age. It was found that there is a greater risk of muscle complications for the group with factors associated with 2.13 de rpa (IC 95%: 1.78- 2.42) y una P<0.05. Age has an rpa of 1.21 (IC 95%: 0.88-1.43). The presence of comorbidities is significantly associated with pressure ulcers with an rpa of 2.42 (IC 95%: 1.98-2.54). Sex and type of ulcers did not suggest significant differences. Thus, the association between muscle complications and pressure ulcers and the associated factors for their appearance in patients treated within the COVID-10 area at the José Cayetano Heredia Hospital in Piura could be verified. Conclusions: Muscular complications and appearances of pressure ulcers present associated factors such as comorbidities and age for their appearance.
