The investigation seeks to evaluate the physical geometric characteristics of the neighborhood road between the Culebreros and Cruz Azul population centers, comparing with the parameters established in the manual ““Geometric Design of Roads DG-2018), in addition to proposing a design of paved road surface as an improvement proposal, the study road is located in the district of Santa Catalina de Mossa, Province of Morropón, Department of Piura. In order to obtain the characteristics and physical information of the study road, the following studies were carried out: a topographic study, a soil mechanics study and a traffic study. The data obtained was processed using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel software. Subsequently, the information was analyzed using the manual ““Diseño de Carreteras DG-2018““ and Manual de Carreteras ““Suelos, Geología, Geotecnia y Pavimentos““. It was concluded that according to the topographic characteristics of the road, it is classified as steep terrain and as a roadbed due to its IMDA, after the analysis it was verified that the study road does not comply in great percentage with the parameters established by the DG-2018, especially in the length of vertical curves, Therefore, maintenance should be performed and adequate signage should be placed in order to provide safety to the road user, from the design of the pavement it was obtained that the appropriate thickness is 15 cm, except for the section in which the CBR of the subgrade is poor, an improvement of the subgrade should be performed by replacing the existing soil with a new soil of CBR > 10% with a thickness of 25 cm on which a pavement of 20 cm will be placed
