Nowadays, the attention in the health matter of minors with disabilities in Cajamarca presents deficiencies due to its development in a limited number of establishments and added to this, the lack of special programs that include prevention, rehabilitation and monitoring. Furthermore, the physical therapy services and rehabilitation take place without distinction of age, type of complexity, superficially and non specialized, preventing the improvement of the users’ quality of life. During the research stage it was established the existence of ‘Hogar Santa Dorotea’, an establishment of social relevance that contemplates the health and residency typologies, dedicated to the integral care of minors with intellectual, sensory and physical-motor disabilities, in a state of extreme poverty and in a state of abandonment. The particularity of this establishment and its intention to increase its capacity to attend the minors with disabilities, motivated the planning of the project ‘Centro de atención residencial y rehabilitación Santa Dorotea’, allowing the effective development of the typologies presented at the beginning, approaching the project from the object, subject and context variables, in addition to introduce concepts as therapeutic gardens, landscapes as rehabilitation therapy, universal accessibility, environments specialized in rehabilitation. This way, elements as the landscape and the natural surrounding were capable of influencing the users’ rehabilitation and the perception of hospital environments, changing the stiff perspective that used to characterize them and increased the attention of the users’ that arrive to serve at this center
