The main objective of this thesis is to carry out an exhaustive study on the structural design of pavements in the Ramón Castilla sector, located in the El Trópico town center, Huanchaco. This project arises in response to the growing need to improve road infrastructure in the region, especially in an area with specific geographic and traffic characteristics. The work focused on the detailed evaluation of soil conditions, current and projected vehicular traffic, as well as other environmental factors that could affect the durability and resistance of the pavements. AASHTO – 93 methodologies were used to carry out load analysis, materials evaluation and structural design of pavements that guaranteed long-term safety and efficiency. Additionally, sustainable and economical solutions were explored that suited the specific needs of the local community. The proposed design considered both technical and socioeconomic aspects, promoting a comprehensive approach to the development of road infrastructure in the study area. The results of this research are expected to contribute significantly to the improvement of the road network in the Ramón Castilla sector, providing practical and applicable recommendations for the planning and execution of future paving projects in the Huanchaco region. This study will not only benefit local residents, but will also provide valuable information for civil engineering professionals and authorities in charge of urban planning and sustainable development. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations are formulated, followed by the bibliographic references and annexes of the project
