The main objective of this study was to determine if dengue in pregnant women is a risk factor for neonatal complications. Materials and methods: An analytical case-control study was carried out, where gestational dengue was identified as a risk factor for developing neonatal complications at Hospital II Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes - Paita, during January 2021 to December 2023. Results: This study had 180 pregnant women as a population, where it is observed that of the total patients with neonatal complications, 64.4% (58) had gestational dengue, while, of the total patients without neonatal complications, 35.6% (32) had gestational dengue, finding that gestational dengue generates 3.29 times greater risk of neonatal complications, with an OR 3.29 (95% CI 1.78 - 6.05), also, it is verified that gestational dengue has a significant association with the presence of neonatal complications, with n (p<0.001). On the other hand, it is evident that the average age of pregnant women with positive dengue was 23, with an IQR (18 – 27) and the gestational age has an average of 37 weeks, with an IQR (36 – 38), while that gestational age and history of dengue are factors associated with neonatal complications, with a (p <0.001). Conclusions: Gestational dengue is a risk factor for developing neonatal complications in pregnant women at Hospital II Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes - Paita, during January 2021 to December 2023. In addition, gestational age and a history of dengue are factors associated with neonatal complications in patients with gestational dengue
