The research study aimed to determine the relationship between adherence to treatment and quality of life of the mature adult with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hospital la Noria, 2021. The study was descriptive and correlational; The sample consisted of 42 people with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, belonging to the “Club de Oro” Program at Hospital la Noria. For data collection, the survey was applied as a technique and two questionnaires were applied as instruments, one to evaluate adherence to treatment and the other for the quality of life of the mature adult. The results obtained were that 23.8% of mature adults with Diabetes Mellitus did not adhere to treatment and 42.9% had partial adherence to treatment. Regarding the Quality of Life of the mature adult, it was found that 26.2% have a low quality of life and 40.5% a medium quality of life. Regarding the result of both variables, it was found that 21.4% have no adherence to treatment and their quality of life is low, while 38.1% have partial adherence and their quality of life is medium. A relationship between both variables was established by means of the Chi Square statistical test with a value of p = 0.000.
