This research was done at the facilities of Agroindustrial UPAO S.A.C., located in Salaverry district, Trujillo province, La Libertad region, since march until july 2018. The objective was to compare two doses in a couple of controlled-release fertilizers affecting the yield in asparagus Asparagus officinalis L. It was used the statistical of Randomized Complete Block design with five treatments and four replicates. Analyses included the analysis of variance to determine the statistical differences among treatments and the comparison test of Duncan at 0.05 % probability to assess the best treatment. Planting was sited at 2.40 m apart among furrows and 0.18 m apart among plants, meaning 23,148 plants/ha; total área employed in this experiment was 768 m2. Application of controlledrelease fertilizers Plantacote and Osmocote was done at first week after tilling. Doses of Plantacote and Osmocote were 100 and 150 kg/ha; control did not receive any controlled-release fertilizer. The highest plant height and the biggest stem diameter were in treatment 2 (150 kg Plantacote/ha) in every single sampling, above all the other treatments, in particular treatment 5 (Control). The highest yield (t/ha) was gained with treatment 2 (150 kg Plantacote/ha) reaching 7.218 t/ha, above any other treatment, in particular treatment 5 (Control) with 3.781 t/ha.
