To determine if the knowledge of the disease, the therapeutic compliance, the age, the degree of instruction, the time of illness, and other comorbidities (Diabetes Mellitus type2, Arterial Hypertension) are factors associated to the therapeutic adherence in comparison to the non-adherence therapy in the Endocrinology service of the HVLE in the study period July- September 2017. Material and Method: Analytical, observational, cross-sectional retrospective study. The study population consisted of 114 female patients with primary hypothyroidism, divided into two groups: with therapeutic adherence and without therapeutic adherence. Results: The statistical analysis on the variables under study was: the age with a p = 0.011 indicating a statistical significance. Conclusions: The variable with the greatest statistical significance was age, however no statistically significant relationship was found between knowledge of the disease, therapeutic compliance, the degree of instruction, the time of illness, and other comorbidities (Diabetes Mellitus type 2, Hypertension Arterial) and therapeutic adherence in women patients with primary hypothyroidism.
