The objective of this research work was to determine the incidence of the reporting operation in the improvement of the cash availability of the company Cres Peru Contratistas Generales S.A.C. of the city of Trujillo, period 2020. The research is applied and the contrasting technique, pre-experimental. The analysis of the financial statements and ratios made it possible to evaluate the financial situation of the company before and after the application of the reporting operation as a financing mechanism to obtain cash availability. The results obtained showed that, in the period 2019, the company could not meet its short-term obligations, because the liquidity ratio indicated that for each sol of debt it had 0.98 soles. In addition, by applying the reporting operation as a financing mechanism to obtain cash availability, there was an improvement in the liquidity ratio, since by 2020, the company had 1.28 soles for each sol of debt. It is concluded that the reporting operation allows the company to obtain cash, through its transferable securities that it has, without having to lose them or stop making profits on them. Finally, it is confirmed that the reporting operation has a significant impact on improving cash availability.
