76,34); p=0.0001).
To establish if the Low levels of Physical Activity are a risk factor for Stroke in patients who attend on the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. Material and Methods: An analytical, retrospective and observational study of cases and controls was carried out. The study sample consisted of 120 patients, 40 with LCA and 80 without it, who went to an external Neurology and Neurosurgery office of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital during the period from July 2019 to February 2020, the OR was calculated. the chi-square test with the Yates continuity correction. Results: The frequency of the Stroke in patients with Low levels of Physical Activity and Low levels of Physical Activity was 87.5% and 21.3% respectively (OR 25.94; 95% CI 8.82 - 76.34); p = 0.0001). The multivariate analysis through logistic regression identified that the most affected age group was that of patients with an age range of 70 to 79 years; It was also found that the Body Mass Index ≥ 25 and dyslipidemia were associated with the presence of low levels of physical activity (OR 25.94; 95% CI 8.82 - 76.34; p = 0.001). Conclusions: The study concludes that the Low levels of Physical Activity are a risk factor for Stroke. The most significant variables were low levels of physical activity, body mass index ≥ 25 and dyslipidemia.
