Nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes de estomatología de la universidad privada Antenor Orrego, 2020

Abstract

Determinar nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2020. Material y Método: El presente estudio fue observacional, el cual estuvo constituido por 57 alumnos matriculados de 9 no y 10mo ciclo de la carrera profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego. Para la evaluación de la medición del nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes se utilizó un cuestionario previamente validado. Resultados: El presente estudio encontró que el nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (agosto-noviembre 2020) fue deficiente en 61,4%, un nivel regular en 36,8% y finalmente un nivel bueno en 1,8%. Por otro lado, respecto al nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales según ciclo de estudios, se obtuvo que el nivel con mayor deficiencia fue en 10mo ciclo (68,0%). Además, con respecto al nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales según género, en los estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, el sexo femenino obtuvo; un 61,5% de nivel deficiente, un 35,9% de nivel regular y finalmente un 2,6% de nivel bueno. En el mismo contexto el género masculino obtuvo un 61,1% de nivel deficiente, un 38,9% de nivel regular y un 0% de nivel bueno. Conclusión: El nivel de conocimiento sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes de Estomatología (entre el 9 no y 10mo ciclo) de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego es deficiente. Además, el nivel de conocimiento, según ciclo de estudios y género, sobre anestésicos locales en los estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego también fue deficiente.

To determine the level of knowledge about local anesthetics in Stomatology students of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, 2020. Material and Method: The present study was observational and consisted of 57 students enrolled in the 9th and 10th cycles of the professional career of Stomatology at the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego. A previously validated questionnaire was used to evaluate the measurement of the level of knowledge of local anesthetics in the students. Results: The present study found that the level of knowledge about local anesthetics in Stomatology students of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego (August-November 2020) was deficient in 61.4%, a regular level in 36.8% and finally a good level in 1.8%. On the other hand, with respect to the level of knowledge of local anesthetics according to study cycle, it was found that the level with the highest deficiency was in the 10th cycle (68.0%). In addition, with respect to the level of knowledge of local anesthetics according to gender, among the students of Stomatology of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, the female gender obtained 61.5% of deficient level, 35.9% of regular level and finally 2.6% of good level. In the same context, the male gender obtained 61.1% of deficient level, 38.9% of regular level and 0% of good level. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of local anesthetics among Stomatology students (between the 9th and 10th cycles) of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego is deficient. In addition, the level of knowledge, according to study cycle and gender, about local anesthetics in Stomatology students of the Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego was also deficient.
