The aim of this research is to establish the clinical epidemiological characteristics of traumatic hand. MATERIAL AND METHODS. It is a descriptive, observational, retrospective, transversal study. The population are all patients diagnosed with a hand tauma who were treated at the Peru-Korea Santa Rosa -II-2- Piura hospital in the years 2013 to 2017, who met the selection criteria. The data was processed in SPSS V23.0. RESULTS The number of cases was 31 participants: 23 men (74.19%) and 8 women (25.81%). The average age was 27.55 years with a D.S of 16,194. 51.6% were due to an accident at work; 12.9% due to accidents in the home and 9.7% due to traffic events. The risk (O.R.) of occupational injuries is 9 times higher in men than in women (I.C.95%: 4.74 - 17.07, p = 0). The most affected hand is the left hand (58.1%) and in 6.45% the person affected both hands The time elapsed since the injury occurred until reaching a health facility was 55.65 hours and a D.S. of 149.86. The average time since he enters the hospital until he is operated is 1.87 days, D.S. 1,784. On average, the operative stay was five days, with D.S. from 6.97.
