The objective of this research was to establish the relationship that exists between the socio-labor factors and the level of stress of the nursing professional in the Surgical Center of the EsSalud Level III Hospital - Chimbote, the research is descriptive - correlational. The sample consisted of 50 people. The information was collected through an instrument called ““The Nursing Stress Scale““, with a reliability of 0.892 Crombach's Alpha coefficient. The results obtained were: In the nursing staff, the average stress level prevails (72.0%), and 28.0% have a low stress level. The socio-labor factors of the nurse are characterized by being 46 years or older (50.0%), being married (46.0%), nuclear family type (56.0%), with 1 to 2 children (50.0%), with specialty ( 86.0%) and, with more than 10 of service (66.0%). The socio labor factors are not significantly related to the stress level of the nurses (p> 0.05), but being 46 years of age or older, being single, from an extended family, not having children, with a specialty and more than 10 years of experience. service, have a higher relative index for a medium stress level in nurses.
