OBJECTIVE: To identify the obstetric-perinatal complications associated with gestational anemia at the José Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital, Piura during the years 2017-2019. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational level, and retrospective design study. The population will be pregnant women with anemia attended during the year 2017 to 2019 with a probabilistic sample of 168 medical records. The technique will be the review of documents with the use of the instrument. Analytical statistics were used for both variables and the Pearson Chi Square test will be used where the test will be significant if the p-value ≤ α = 0.05. RESULTS: The mean for age was 24.95ª (SD: 0.73) whose ranges were found between 18 to 37 years. The level of instruction we will have to have complete 5 secondary was the condition with the greatest presence detected with 79.17% (133 records). The 51.79% of the records (87 responses) would present ranges for moderate anemia (7 to 9.9 g/dL). Finally, associations were found for severe anemia in complications such as preeclampsia, low birth weight, prematurity and intrauterine growth retardation all with p value <0.05. CONCLUSION: A significant association was found for the presence of gestational anemia and obstetric and perinatal complications with a p<0.05 value.
