The main objective of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between gingival disease and stress in patients treated at the Stomatological Clinic of the Antenor Orrego Private University. This study was Prospective, cross-sectional, descriptive and observational, was developed in the Dental center of the Antenor Orrego Private University and included 169 patients. The level of stress presented by the patients was measured using the Bournaut TEST consisting of 22 questions, according to the score obtained in each survey, it was classified as high, moderate and low. Then the inflammation level was evaluated using the Loes Y Silnes index in which only six teeth were evaluated: 1.6 2.1 2.4 3.6 3.1 4.4 with the help of a periodontal probe placing around the gingival margin of each piece mentioned above according to the result was classified as mild, moderate and severe. This research allows us to conclude that there is a significant relationship between gingival disease and stress levels. The patients with moderate degree gingival disease and moderate level of stress presented a high percentage in contrast to those who presented a mild degree and a high level of stress.
