With the aim of exploring the attitudes and practices of coital activity in the third trimester of pregnancy - Alto Trujillo Health Center - El Porvenir - 2019, a qualitative phenomenological design research was conducted on 12 pregnant women and their partners, who were selected through the snowball strategy, the total sample was obtained by theoretical saturation. An in-depth interview was applied. The interview was divided into two sections: I section: Attitudes of coital activity in the third trimester of pregnancy, II section: Practices of coital activity in the third trimester of pregnancy. It was found that the majority of pregnant women do not perform their coital practices in the third trimester of pregnancy due to discomfort due to belly growth, fear of hurting their baby, pain, decreased desire, unlike their partners who wish to perform their coital activities but their wives limit them because of what has been mentioned. Some pregnant women and their partners only perform vaginal penetration for their convenience and hygiene; they only perform the ““costadito““ position without any variant; the frequency of the coital practices in the first two quarters is two to three times per week, unlike the third quarter, which is once a week or every two weeks; the pregnant women and their interviewed couples do not receive information in their prenatal care and they do not know the topic of coital practices in pregnancy and opt for information from other means.
