preeclampsia se considera como uno de los agravantes para esta enfermedad;
Trujillo.
Whereas intrauterine growth restriction is one of the causes of morbidity and mortality in developing countries and that preeclampsia is considered as one of the aggravating factors for this disease; It has been considered transcendent to study this relationship with the purpose of determining if preeclampsia is a risk factor for intrauterine growth restriction. In addition, the proposed study will help, among other aspects, to know the relationship of preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction, and will provide useful information for women, so that they follow a control during pregnancy and thus be able to prevent this problem. For this, an analytical, observational and retrospective study of cases and controls will be carried out. The sample of the study population will consist of 156 patients from the obstetrics service of the Belén de Trujillo Hospital, according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, distributed in two groups: 39 cases and 117 controls. It was obtained as results that there is a highly significant relationship (0.000 <0.01), between preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction in pregnant women at Belén de Trujillo hospital. This allows us to infer that there is an association or dependency relationship between the study factors. Likewise, when carrying out a multivariate analysis, it was possible to determine that only the variables of prenatal control and gestational age are significantly related to the variable intrauterine growth restriction in pregnant women. Coming to the conclusion that preeclampsia is a risk factor for intrauterine growth restriction in pregnant women at Belén de Trujillo hospital.
