The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between social skills and emotional dependence in teachers at the initial level of a UGEL in Trujillo. Substantive. The research involved the participation of 102 early education teachers who worked remotely during the 2020 academic year. To assess these variables, Gismero's Social Skills Scale (EHS) and Lemos & Londoño's Emotional Dependence Questionnaire, both adapted for the population of Trujillo, were used. The results revealed that, overall, social skills were mostly at a medium level (41.3%), while emotional dependence was mostly low (87.3%). However, the analysis did not show a significant relationship between social skills and emotional dependence, neither on the general scale nor on the specific dimensions, within this particular group of early childhood teachers in Trujillo
