The purpose of this research is to provide a new proposal to improve the road design of the current urban section: Oval La Marina PE-10A (Km 0 + 000 to Km 03 + 830 m), which will improve the satisfaction of users of the road, in the city of Trujillo for the current year. To develop this purpose, an applied research was carried out with a descriptive design in the methodology. Nowadays one of the most serious and urgent problems to solve in the main cities is vehicular congestion. The city of Trujillo is no stranger to such problems. The vehicular chaos; generator of ominous consequences such as increased pollution, serious damage to our health, increased mortality rate and economic losses, due to the time we waste on the roads. And to this we add the growth of the automotive fleet that grows every year and urges the need to expand, regulate and improve our roads. This thesis is planned by chapters in which first the existing problems are determined through the study of road traffic that implies carrying out the traffic study as an essential variable, since with the obtained data the geometric profile and the future projection of the load will be elaborated vehicular according to the valuation of the equivalent axes that transited the road. Likewise, the study of soils for the purpose of paving a second roadway will be carried out in order to know the stratigraphic profile, density, structural capacity of the CBR subgrade and classification of the soils of the study area. Finally, the geometric, structural and signaling design of the road will be developed in the second road in the urban section: Oval La Marina (PE-10A) progressive Km 0 + 000 until the progressive Km3 + 830m of the district and province of Trujillo, in order to achieve the main objective of the investigation
