In this research work, the main objective is to analyze the characteristics of the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of the aggregates of the El Diablo, Caracmaca and Calzada quarries for the improvement of passability and quality of the paving in the section of Arena - Sanagorán. The methodology used was of a type of applied research with an explanatory level and a quasi-experimental type design, taking the 3 quarries analyzed as a population and the aggregates or materials present within them as a sample. Regarding the results that have been obtained in this study, it can be mentioned that the area is characteristic of emplaced rocks of sedimentary origin such as limestone, sandstone and phyllite and that external geodynamic events are constant. As a main conclusion, it can be mentioned that with respect to the analysis of the materials present in the quarries, for the granular subbase, Caracmaca and La calzada quarries have complied with the parameters, while El Diablo quarry has not been able to do so; On the other hand, in relation to the granular base, the combination of La Calzada and Caracmaca complies with the normed parameters when it has 60% of the first mentioned and 40% of the second, while when it has 70% and 30% of the same order is not achieved.
