Objective: To determine if in children between 7 and 15 years of age, maternal perinatal antecedents during pregnancy constitute risk factors for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital of Trujillo during the period from January to April of 2018. Material and Methods: An observational, analytical study of cases and controls was carried out, the selection process was carried out under the inclusion and exclusion criteria, in children between 7 and 15 years old attended in the Psychiatry clinic in the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital during the period from January to April 2018, with a total of 474 patients, distributed in 158 cases (children with ADHD) and 316 controls (children without ADHD). Results: A distribution of patients according to their general characteristics and presence of ADHD is shown; the bivariate analysis showed that the variables with the greatest significance (p <0.05) were BMI, birth weight, gestational age at birth, prematurity (OR: 5.23 IC 95% [3.08- 8,89]), the time of breastfeeding, the type of mixed breastfeeding (OR: 1.86 95% CI [1,24-2,79]), having a sibling with ADHD, one of the parents with ADHD (OR: 5.11 IC 95% [1.77-14.78]), It also shows the perinatal characteristics during pregnancy of the mother of the children studied, finding that parity, having had preeclampsia (OR: 4 , 38 95% CI [2.49-7.70]), the history of previous abortions (OR: 2.85 IC 95% [1.46-5.53]); having had DMG had a weak association (OR: 2.76 95% CI [0.94-8.08]). Conclusions: Perinatal risk factors if associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children
