This “thesis had a general objective:” Determine the legal grounds to incorporate within the scope of the crime provided for in “Article 206-A” of the Peruvian Penal Code (PC) - the zoophilia acts practiced on domestic or wild animals – for being threats to their life and integrity. In its development, the techniques of documentary analysis and interview were applied, which presented to the following conclusions: first, it is necessary to incorporate zoophilia acts as typical conduct behavior in art. 206-A of the Peruvian PC to avoid the filing of cases; second, the Criminal Law is the viable branch to protect legal right: for the life and integrity of animals; third, it was demonstrated by foreign legislation that zoophilia is sanctioned as a crime or as a misdemeanor for representing severe behavior; fourth, zoophilia represents a danger to public health and a prelude to family and social violence
