tierra agrícola, consolidándose con el pasar del tiempo como el principal agroexportador del país;
antigua Bodega o “Bazar Central”.
Since 1889, then the Hacienda Casa Grande, has owned extensions of agricultural land, consolidating with the passing of time as the country's main agro-exporter; this development was at the hand of the social consequences produced by the different economic models, until its formation as a district in 1998. Since its creation as a district, it began operating the District Municipality of Casa Grande having as its headquarters the old Winery or “Central Bazaar“. The thesis project aims to develop an intervention strategy in the current block, fragmented and tugurized, located in front of the Main Square of the Casa Grande district; that allows the recovery, conservation and value of a historical infrastructure – monumental of the Industrial Heritage, with new uses for cultural purposes. The Municipal and Cultural Complex proposes the recovery and value of the Industrial Heritage of the former Hacienda Casa Grande as part of two important components: The Cultural Complex, in which it is provided with a civic – cultural use to the Ex Bodega Central (Bazar) and a u SO to the Former General Warehouse; on the other hand, the Headquarters of the Municipal Government; located at the opposite end of the block, posing a public space between the two components that is open to the community. The creation of an institutional infrastructure is linked to the relationship between the concepts of Architecture and Identity, since the building must generate in the community a sense of belonging, and therefore should not alter its context or values surrounding them.
