With the objective of determining the relationship between the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19 and neonatal complications at the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, 2020-2021. A basic research work was carried out, descriptive of the relationship with a cross-sectional design; which included a sample of 200 pregnant women and their respective newborns. The results that were found, within the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19 in mothers treated at the Hospital were: 84% of pregnant women had mild COVID-19, 6.5% had moderate COVID-19 and 9.5% had COVID. -19 severe; and within neonatal complications in relation to the level of severity of maternal infection by COVID-19, a significance was found: p>0.05 in neonatal respiratory complications, p>0.05 in non-respiratory complications, p<0.05 in relation to low neonatal weight and p<0.05 in relation to neonatal prematurity. Finally, this study shows that there is no relationship between the level of severity of maternal covid-19 infection and neonatal complications, likewise, there is a relationships with specific complications, pulmonary and low weight.
