This research seeks to apply a system of planning and control of materials in the production of soles to reduce inventory costs of the production line Balerinas in the company Conforflex s.a.c., in order to improve the management of materials handling and help make more accurate decisions. This research begins with a brief diagnosis of its inventory costs, with the calculation of the cost of maintaining the general inventory of the year 2020, considering for this calculation the cost of acquisition of materials, the cost of ordering materials and the cost of storing materials in materials warehouse, finding a cost of maintaining inventory valued at S/. 1.129,561. It was possible to identify that the greatest accumulation of sales being generated in the company is focused on the Balerinas line. To project demand, three demand forecasting methods were considered and the Holt-Winter method was chosen because it had the lowest MAPE. To prepare the aggregate production plan, three aggregate planning strategies were considered, and the exact production plan was chosen because it had the lowest production cost of S/. 61,302. Two lot sizing systems were evaluated to determine the best lot size to use, of which the LxL (Lot by Lot) lot sizing system was chosen because it had the lowest maintenance cost of S/ 40,6250.50. Next, having the list of materials, the weekly requirements for each raw material were defined. This is how the MRP was chosen for each component. To conclude, the application of this MRP system has been of great help in the planning of materials because it has provided a saving of 26.9 percentage points compared to the initial cost. This is represented by S/. 236.529 in inventory holding costs.
