To demonstrate whether tumor size greater than 5 cm is a prognostic factor for decreased survival of patients with primary breast sarcoma. Materials and methods: Case-control study nested in a cohort, which included 20 medical records of adult patients with a diagnosis of primary breast sarcoma between the years 2010 to 2020, of which it was divided into 2 groups: 13 with larger tumor size equal to 5 cm and 7 with tumor size less than 5 centimeters. The statistical tests were Cox Regression and Log rank test, Student t test and Fisher test. Results: Patients with primary breast cancer sarcoma with a tumor size less than 5 cm had a survival of 51.7 weeks, while the survival of patients with primary breast cancer sarcoma with a tumor size greater than 5 cm was 95.6 weeks, there is statistically no significant difference in survival time in patients with tumor size greater than 5 cm compared to those with tumor size less than or equal to 5 cm (p=0.37). Conclusion: Tumor size greater than 5 cm is not a prognostic factor for decreased actuarial survival of primary breast sarcoma.
