The objective of this research work is to determine the impact of the price of the main minerals on the fiscal deficit in Perú, period 2006-2021. The applied research design was explanatory and not experimental. A sample corresponding to a time series of 64 quarters, between 2006 and 2021, is used. Likewise, the econometric model used to test the hypothesis was Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). The conclusions are: During the last 16 years, the prices of copper, gold, zinc and lead had an average annual growth of 2.5, 8.5, 5.1 and 4.6 percent, which was due to the greater international demand for this type of minerals. During this period, the economic performance of the non-financial public sector has deteriorated due to a less favorable global economic outlook and a growing domestic political crisis. Finally, the exposition of this research reflects that the price of copper is the mineral that had the greatest positive impact on Peru's fiscal deficit during the 2006-2021 period.
