The main objective of the present study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11) in high school students of a State Educational Institution in Cajamarca. This study acquired a technological focus, and the sample was 295 male students, belonging to the third, fourth and fifth grades of secondary school. Regarding validity, it was obtained through exploratory factor analysis, where the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure was found with a value of .717, interpreted as ideal. In relation to reliability, an index of .758 on the total scale and .718, .661 and .649 for motor, cognitive and unplanned impulsivity, respectively, are calculated with McDonald’s Omega Coefficient; As well as, the percentile scales for both dimensions were adequately obtained. Finally, the meeting scales the evidence of validity and reliability appropriate to evaluate the psychometric properties of the impulsivity scale in high school students of a state educational institution in Cajamarca
