When trying to reactivate the economy after the mandatory immobilization decreed by the Peruvian state, the construction sector restarted its activities with a series of guidelines and considerations by the Ministry of Health in the projects, which would be used to prevent the expansion of the COVID-19 virus. By implementing these guidelines in all construction projects, the yields of the Labor Force were affected, so the main objective of this research is to apply the Lean Construction methodology in an educational infrastructure project, managing to deliver value by optimizing the yields, reducing capacity and improving execution flow, adapting and respecting work activities to the new normal, complying with the health measures imposed by COVID-19. In this investigation, the application of a work procedure for strategic planning was highlighted. Likewise, the contractual documents were reviewed and analyzed to know the scope, size, and needs of the project and thus, decisions to optimize performance could be made, through knowledge and experience of the latest planners and innovations adopted, at the same time that the contractual workflow was visualized, the main delivery milestones and the incompatibilities of the technical file were evidenced. This allowed us to determine the most restrictive games (bottlenecks) and to devise our “attack strategy“. In this way, the various Last Planner System planning and programming tools were applied, whose system is organized into five main parts, which in its first two parts are Master Programming and Phase Planning, according to the LEAN CONSTRUCTION methodology; It was possible to optimize the flow of the execution processes, managing to improve the workflows and their performance, through innovations applied to critical items and performance optimizations resulting from the experience of the latest planners.
