To determine if there is a difference in the knowledge and attitudes of health personnel, about the use of vitamin D in COVID-19, between the I and II level of health care, in Piura, 2021. Materials and Methods: An observational, analytical-cross-sectional study was carried out; In accordance with the selection criteria, 169 patients belonging to 5 centers of the first level and a hospital of the second in Piura were included, during 2021. A survey was administered that included a previously validated questionnaire and dichotomous questions about the attitudes of the health personnel on the use of vitamin D in COVID-19. SPSS v.23 software was used for the statistical analysis. Results: 74% of the participants were women, however, the proportion of men and women between those belonging to the first and second level of care was equivalent. 81% of nurses and 72% of obstetrics currently recommend the use of vitamin D for COVID-19, with a statistical association compared to medicals. No association was shown between the level of knowledge and the current recommendation for the use of this vitamin or the level of care to which they belong. It was shown that having indicated, observed that a colleague indicated or used vitamin D himself for COVID-19 infection increased the probability of currently recommending the use of this vitamin in COVID-19 patients (p <0.01). Conclusions: There is no difference in the knowledge and attitudes of health personnel about the use of vitamin D in COVID-19 between the first or second level of care.
