This research thesis, ““STUDY OF THE PROPERTIES OF THE QUARRY AGGREGATE SECTOR BELLO HORIZONTE - LAREDO -LA LIBERTAD““, has the purpose of conducting a study of the aggregates of the quarry, which was carried out in two pits where it was extracted. taken to the JVC CONSULTORIA GEOTECNIA S.A.C laboratory where tests were carried out in order to obtain physical, mechanical and chemical properties. We were able to appreciate that in the physical properties in the granulometry of the fine aggregate in pits 1 and 2, we have a fineness modulus of 2.93 and 2.86, where it does comply with the NTP 400.012. In the results of the granulometry of the horrible aggregates in pit 1 and in pit 2, we have a maximum nominal size of 2 and a maximum size of 2 ½”, which complies with NTP 400.012, in the following analysis test of moisture content of coarse and fine aggregate, it has been found that it has a minimum percentage of moisture. In the specific gravity and absorption test, it was attributed that the material is good, since water will be added in a minimum dose. In the soluble salts test we have results that are below 1%, which is a tolerable amount according to the Peruvian technical standard. In the abrasion wear test with the results achieved, we have an aggregate that is very resistant to some problems, which does comply with the provisions of the ASTM C 131 standard. It is concluded that, according to the results obtained, the aggregates comply with the Peruvian technical standard; Each result of the tests shows that the aggregate is in conditions to be used in civil construction.
