The Postgraduate School of the Antenor Orrego Private University in its admission process March 2018 compared to March 2019 had a growth of 20% because the level of competitiveness of accessing a job is increasingly high; This growth in percentage of students taking a master's degree causes the registration of thesis projects to increase, giving rise to the need for the UPAO Graduate School to have a faster management of the thesis project follow-up process. Meaning our problem is how to improve the thesis project approval process in the Postgraduate School of the Antenor Orrego Private University year 2019? Therefore, this research proposes to develop the Design Thinking methodology for the approval process of thesis projects at the Postgraduate School of the Antenor Orrego Private University year 2019; modeling the current process and solver of the thesis project approval based on BPMN, developing the phases of definition, ideation, prototyping based on use cases and class diagramming. The evaluation of the Design Thinking methodology was carried out in the opinion of experts for this purpose first the level of reliability of the experts was validated by the cronbach alpha coefficient obtaining the value 0.83 which is good, then the average judgment was obtained of experts in the range of 1 to 5; in the phase of empathizing the average value of 3.75 was obtained, in the phase of defining the average value of 4 was obtained, in the phase of devising the average value of 3.75 was obtained, in the phase of prototyping the average value of 3.75 and in the testing phase the average value of 4 was obtained.
