Salud mental y estrés laboral en personal de salud de UCI del Área COVID-19 del Hospital Regional de Tumbes 2020 – 2021

Abstract

El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la salud mental y el estrés laboral en el personal de salud de UCI del área COVID-19 del Hospital Regional de Tumbes en el año 2020 – 2021. El diseño fue observacional descriptivo transversal correlacional y se realizó en 35 profesionales de la salud a quienes se les aplicó los cuestionarios, el cuestionario de auto reporte de síntomas psiquiátricos (SRQ) abreviado para el tamizaje de problemas de salud mental y el cuestionario “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)”. Los resultados revelaron que el 82,9% de los trabajadores tuvieron algún grado de afectación de su salud mental; el 11,4% de los trabajadores presentaron un alto agotamiento emocional; asimismo el 31,4% presentó alta despersonalización y baja realización personal, al establecer la relación entre la afectación de la salud mental y el estrés laboral en el personal de salud de UCI del área COVID-19 existe una relación directa proporcional y de nivel débil.

The objective of this work was to determine the relationship between mental health and work stress in ICU health personnel in the COVID-19 area of the Regional Hospital of Tumbes in the year 2020 - 2021. The design was observational descriptive cross-correlational and was carried out on 35 health professionals to whom the questionnaires were applied, the self-report questionnaire of psychiatric symptoms (SRQ) abbreviated for the screening of mental health problems and the questionnaire “Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)“. The results revealed that 82.9% of the workers had some degree of affectation of their mental health; 11.4% of the workers presented high emotional exhaustion; Seeing that 31.4% presented high depersonalization and low personal fulfillment, when establishing the relationship between the affectation of mental health and work stress in ICU health personnel in the COVID-19 area, there is a direct proportional and level relationship weak.
