The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family functioning and adherence to tuberculosis treatment in adults, Trujillo 2022 district. It was descriptive-correlational; the sample consisted of 82 adults who were receiving treatment in the EE.SS. Regional Health Management, district of Trujillo. The technique used was the survey. The instruments used were two questionnaires on Family Functioning and Adherence to treatment. The results of family functioning were: cohesion dimension was functional with 58.5% and dysfunctional with 41.5%, adaptability dimension 76.8% was dysfunctional and 23.2% was functional, communication dimension was functional with 62.2% and dysfunctional with 37.8%; in adherence to treatment: pharmacological dimension, high adherent 50%, medium adherent 48.8% and low adherent 1.2%, in food it was 86.6% high, 12.2% medium and 1.2% low and in preventive measures high 80.5%, medium 17.1% and low 2.4% and the relationship between family functioning and adherence to tuberculosis treatment, 77% had high and functional adherence and 1% was low and dysfunctional adherent. To test the hypothesis, Chi-square was used with a significance of 0.002 < 0.05, indicating that there is a relationship between family functioning and adherence to treatment.
