The purpose of this research is the structural steel design of a 10-story office building, using restricted buckling braces, from the Trujillo district and Trujillo Province, La Libertad Department. The land destined for the building has an area of 587.34m2. The building has 10 levels for offices. The structural system of the building is made up of columns, beams, purlins, restricted buckling braces and a Deck AD 600 collaborating slab. The foundation is made up of isolated footings. The seismic analysis was carried out following E 030-18, through which the seismic forces were obtained for each structural element. The mathematical model for the structural analysis was developed with the help of the Etabs 2017.01 program. The design of the structural elements was made following the American design standards: ANSI / AISC 341-16, ANSI / AISC 360-16 and ANSI / AISC 358-16.
