EVALUATION OF AGGREGATE PROPERTIES FROM BELLO HORIZONTE AND ALONSO QUARRIES FOR STRUCTURAL MIX DESIGN, TRUJILLO““ The purpose of this research is to conduct an analysis and comparison of the collected data. This study has investigated two quarries: Bello Horizonte and Alonso, which provide the necessary materials for construction works in Trujillo and nearby areas. This research involves visiting the aforementioned quarries and collecting materials (aggregates) with the permission of the quarry owners. Subsequently, these materials are transported to the Materials Laboratory of the Private University Antenor Orrego and the Laboratory of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Here, both fine and coarse aggregate materials undergo various tests to determine their physical and strength characteristics. Once the physical and strength characteristics of these aggregates are obtained, calculations are performed to design a mix for structural concrete in order to achieve a compressive strength of 210 kg/cm² using the ACI (American Concrete Institute) method. With the mixtures properly dosed, concrete specimens were prepared for compression tests, and Slump tests were also conducted to measure the consistency and workability of the concrete, indicated by intervals ranging from 3 inches to 4 inches. These intervals are directly related to the most malleable and workable consistency for construction purposes. In conclusion, the compression tests were conducted to ensure the respective strength of the concrete and verify if they were meeting the specifications outlined in the applied dosages
