In the present investigation a design of an intake in Quirihuac is carried out, which will be validated by means of a three-dimensional hydraulic model, which is based on obtaining maximum flows from the hydrological study and the sizing of the hydraulic study. Where the study of the maximum avenues allowed calculating a maximum flow of 574.52 m3/s, which constitutes a fundamental base for the design of the complementary structures of the intake. And the design of the various complementary structures was carried out correctly, following technical criteria and considering the hydrology of the area. The design of the intake structures was successfully verified by evaluating the velocity ranges generated by the hydrological flow, using the three-dimensional ANSYS model. In conclusion, the results obtained in each objective reinforce the importance of implementing a natural infrastructure in the upper part of the Moche river basin. Accurate calculation of peak flows, proper design of structures, and verification using a three-dimensional model are essential to ensure the functionality, safety, and sustainability of the proposed infrastructure. These results support the feasibility of implementing an intake in the Quirihuac area and contribute to the proper management of water resources in the area. Where it is recommended to continue monitoring and updating hydrological data: Given that the design of the intake structures depends on peak flows and floods, it is important to maintain constant monitoring of hydrological data in the area. This will make it possible to update flow values and ensure that designs are in line with the latest hydrological conditions
