This research seeks the approach of a methodology for obtaining the graduation profile of a higher education program, which is necessary in processes of accreditation and / or continuous improvement, based only on the history of graduates' qualifications, through the application of data mining techniques. For this, a methodological framework is proposed, which will be applied to the qualification records of the latest promotions of the Mechatronics Engineering program of the National University of Trujillo. The process begins with the characterization of the curriculum regarding a set of previously selected attributes, which compose the discharge profile, after transforming the data to adapt them to the selected data mining technique, which was the technique of Unsupervised learning with the K-Means algorithm, then the mining algorithm is run iteratively, in the RapidMiner software, in order to find the model that best fits the data. Once the best model is obtained, we proceed to a stage of interpretation and evaluation of the results and finally to the synthesis of the exit profile of the Mechatronics Engineering program, which proved to be logical and consistent with the context and the prospective of the program. Also found during the process is relevant information that can be used for planning improvement actions in the academic training of the program. The proposed framework is validated by means of a survey addressed to experts from the Mechatronics Engineering program, determining that the indicators of effectiveness and reusability of the proposed framework are Good and Acceptable respectively, for which reason it is considered valid.
