Abstract: Objetivo: El objetivo fue determinar la asociación entre procrastinación y depresión en alumnos de morfofisiología de una universidad privada durante el periodo 2023-I.
Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional de corte transversal donde se incluyeron 298 estudiantes del curso de morfofisiología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, durante el periodo 2023-I. Por ello, se utilizó un cuestionario que contiene distintas encuestas y escalas validadas, así como ítems individuales de algunas otra. Concluyendo su registro en Google forms, el cual proporcionara un Microsoft Excel.
Resultados: El estudio incluyó un total de 298 alumnos, Del total de alumnos que presentaron procrastinación, el 26.0% (75), presentaron depresión en un alto nivel, mientras que del 44.4% (4), no presentaron depresión; siendo a su vez no tener significancia suficiente para que ambas variables sean asociadas. Por otro lado, las variables consumo de alcohol (p 0.048) y vivienda b, c (p <0.001) fueron asociadas a procrastinación.
Conclusiones: La procrastinación no tiene asociación significativa con depresión en los alumnos del curso de morfofisiología de la Universidad Privada Antenor Orrego, la edad, el sexo, estado civil dificultades económicas, inactividad física y consumo de tabaco fueron variables que no estuvieron asociadas con procrastinación, mientras que el consumo de alcohol si tiene asociación con procrastinación
